Service Reservoir Training – UK and Northern Ireland
During 2026 I have been undertaking the training of engineers in the issues with the
Construction, Inspection and Supervision of Service Reservoirs.
Midlands Service Reservoirs – West Midlands
Analysing the emergency storage requirements for all of the service reservoirs for South
Staffs Water in the West Midlands and Cambridge and determining the need for new
reservoirs. Works included sizing new service reservoirs.
Service Reservoirs – Northern Ireland Water
Reviewing and signing off Section 10 equivalent inspection reports for all service reservoirs
in Northern Ireland; Construction Engineer role for a new Service Reservoir at Fofanny:
QCE for the works to Castor Bay service reservoir involving the construction of a deep
piled pumping station and its dewatering and recharge to reduce settlement risk at the
service reservoir.
Oxhey, Bushey, Preston, Chauld End and Sundon Service Reservoirs, UK
Carrying out the 10yr periodical inspections under Section 10(2) of the Reservoirs Act
1975 for Oxhey and Bushey. Advising on new Precast concrete reservoirs at Chauld End
and QCE for the sign off of alterations to Sundon reservoir for Affinity Water.
Crownhill Service Reservoir – Plymouth
Carrying out the Section 10 Inspection and reporting of the 50,000m3 service reservoir
serving Plymouth for South West Water.
Supervising Engineer for 10 Reservoirs in the Midlands, UK
Supervising engineer duties for 10No. High Risk reservoirs in the Midlands. The reservoirs are all impounding or flood storage reservoirs belonging to County Councils, Private Companies and Individuals.
Maelor Forest Nurseries – Wrexham, Wales
Undertaking the development of 3 new storage Reservoirs in England and Wales involving
the sizing to account for climate change and obtaining permitted development planning
approval.
